City Nature Challenge
Friday, April 26, 2024 12:00 AM - Monday, April 29, 2024 11:59 PM
The City Nature Challenge (CNC) is an annual four-day global bioblitz and competition between cities to document wildlife.
DeKalb County is part of the Rock River Valley team hosted by Severson Dells Nature Center in Rockford.
We need your help to find and photograph plants, animals, and fungi in our area!
You can participate by posting observations to iNaturalist, a free and easy-to-use app and website that connects researchers to data collected by you.
CNC is a great way to connect with nature, learn about local wildlife, and contribute useful data to scientists around the globe. Participation is free!
CNC is organized by the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and California Academy of Sciences.
